The Expendables 2

Following from the huge success of  Lionsgate’s The Expendables in 2010, we were excited to work on the explosion-fest The Expendables 2.  We were tasked with injecting the tongue-in-cheek brand with a cool contemporary action theme for strong appeal to gifters as well as fans.

Alongside the trade-wide key art and a hard as nails steelbook we also created a double pack with the original – no mean feat with 20 larger than life action legends to fit on! We carried this through to 6 sheets and national press and having taken the creative up a level in slick action appeal, we were pleased to see The Expendables 2 selling phenomenally well in the run up to Christmas.

Bullhead

Our new quad poster for the Academy Award® nominated BULLHEAD, starring Matthias Schoenaerts. We created a new key-art that gives a feel of the disturbing atmospheric nature of the film, whilst portraying the lead characters deep simmering rage and hidden sensitivity.

Having the opportunity to work on the highly acclaimed Weekend was a great privilege for us here at Name. Along with a full sleeve and outdoor campaign we also designed and built expandable MPUs, superheaders and a range of supporting materials. Key sites included Guardian Film amongst many others.

Poster for Michael Winterbottom's film, Everday.

Everyday

Everyday is a beautifully shot film from director Michael Winterbottom that centers around family, separation and how relationships can survive over an extended period of time. We were asked to create a poster that captures the family aspect of the film, whilst giving a subtle sense of journey and time passing.

The DVD special packaging design for The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games

It was the movie event of the year and consequently the Home Entertainment Campaign of the year that promised to be our greatest and most exciting challenge yet! The great partnership between Lionsgate and Name Creative meant that this behemoth was fully under control, with perfect pre-production, creativity and attention to detail.

Seeing the end product can only give us an immense sense of pride at having been an integral part of this wonderful campaign.

DVD Packaging for Beats Rhymes & Life

Beats Rhymes & Life

As huge Tribe Called Quest fans we were thrilled when the lovely people at Soda Pictures gave us the chance to work on the DVD packaging for the warts and all documentary by Michael Rapaport, documenting the groups break up.

Due to a lack of imagery we created an illustration of the group members which we believe captures the fun and creative music that Tribe creates, also drawing inspiration from the Jazz records that they sample to create a cover that we feel could sit alongside their record covers as a continuation of the Tribe brand.
