Congratulations to Lionsgate, who picked up a coveted award at the 2013 BVA Awards for Mad Men Season 5 in the ‘Marketing Initiative – TV’ category. Fighting off heavyweight competition from Homeland and The Big Bang Theory, the campaign was highly praised by the judges and here at Name we’re proud to have played a part in the campaign with our original artwork on the press creative. To paraphrase Don Draper – here’s to changing the conversation!

Great Expectations

Get swept away with a pitch perfect example of great British film talent. We’ve loved working on Great Expectations, the fab film adaptation of the Dickens classic starring Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes.

We developed new artwork for the DVD packaging to give the film a fresh yet sumptuous lift. The extensive marketing campaign also included some gorgeous press ads, outdoor 6 sheets and a theatre foyer poster. The results have really broadened the appeal of this British classic.

Stolen

We’re pumped about putting together the theatrical quad art for Stolen, a heart-in-your-mouth action thriller starring the inimitable Nicolas Cage and directed by Simon West. Recently seen ordering Stallone and Arnie around on Expendables 2, West last teamed up with Cage on the hugely enjoyable Con Air. Expect sparks to fly. The poster and trailer is featured on HeyUGuys.

We’ve created the quad poster for Lionsgate’s Rebellion, as highlighted on Empire Online. This tense tale of commandos clashing with island rebels bidding for independence from France has been brought to life on the poster, which communicates the powerful mix of drama and action in this exhilarating true-life struggle. A film to take your breath away.

The Possession

When Lionsgate briefed us on The Possession (produced by horror maestro Sam Raimi) we knew this was was an atmospheric horror we could get our teeth into. With an uncut edition and an exclusive lenticular edition we worked on some jaw dropping (or should that be jaw opening?) imagery to ensure fantastic stand out on shelf, with really successful sales results.

The Expendables 2

Following from the huge success of Lionsgate’s The Expendables in 2010, we were excited to work on the explosion-fest The Expendables 2. We were tasked with injecting the tongue-in-cheek brand with a cool contemporary action theme for strong appeal to gifters as well as fans.

Alongside the trade-wide key art and a hard as nails steelbook we also created a double pack with the original – no mean feat with 20 larger than life action legends to fit on! We carried this through to 6 sheets and national press and having taken the creative up a level in slick action appeal, we were pleased to see The Expendables 2 selling phenomenally well in run up to Christmas.
